Substantial evidence exists showing that communities of color have experienced significantly higher rates of infection and mortality due to COVID-19 when compared to white Americans. Due to longstanding structural and racial inequities that disenfranchised communities of color, supporting them through the pandemic requires a multifaceted approach that leverages trusted messengers like the Community Services Block Grant Network.

• Dr. Lanikque Howard, Director, ACF Office of Community Services
