NCAP - Healthy Social-Emotional Development in Early Childhood: A Cornerstone of Primary Prevention
Early childhood experiences can strengthen or disrupt a child’s social, emotional, and mental well-being. Thus, it is important to establish sound emotional and mental health early in life for children to have a strong foundation that supports them in all other aspects of their development. This National Child Abuse Prevention Month (NCAPM) event will reinforce the Administration for Children and Families’ commitment to fostering healthy well-being during the critical infant, toddler, and preschool years as a pro-active prevention approach that promotes positive long-term outcomes for children and their caregivers.
